We ordered the Eglu cube after foxes killed 10 of my chickens. Since putting my new birds in their new home we have had a fox try its luck again but to no avail! We looked out the window one morning to see a very disappointed fox lying on the grass next to the cage!! After a lot of sleepless nights it is great knowing that they are safe. It is a good size and looks great in the garden. The only downside is that it is not suitable for chicks. The chicks can squeeze through the bars so we have had to put chicken wire around the bottom temporarily until they grow a bit. They also fall through the roosting bars in the house so we have had to adapt that too. This shouldn't be a problem in a few weeks though once they have fattened up a bit but worth noting if you have very small chicks. The clips which clip the run together are not particularly sturdy so we re-enforced with cable ties. Think we used about 600 in total but it is now as sturdy as a rock. The plastic is very easy to clean and reduces issues with mites etc. Despite the few adaptations made, i would definitely recommend. It is certainly the best thing i have seen on the market after lots of research. It is expensive but worth every penny if my birds are safe. They certainly have a posh pad now.

Love the crate and the idea of having it as part of your furniture - it's definitely one-of-its-kind out there. However, I had some serious issues with the getting the right products delivered (there were 2 wrong deliveries) before finally receiving what I ordered. The DIY instructions and the flat pack components were also not the most user-friendly and it was a bit of a challenge putting it all together and having to figure out how they all piece together.

I was disappointed it was made in CHINA. If I knew this beforehand, then I would not have bought it. The rubber on the door stop was already torn. Nice, sturdy door otherwise. I also really like the curved ground pieces. 4 stars because it is dainty looking and attractive.

Have had a wooden hen house but was plagued by redmite. This design seems mite proof as its washable, sturdy material, well made but a shame about the colours, gaudy green and garish purple

The walk in run makes looking after the chickens so much easier. No scrabbling on your knees trying to catch them if needed, and more space for them to flutter up onto perches. Down side is when a roof cover is attached, even if the run is secured to the floor, a gale will move it!! Adaptations now made to rectify this.

As far as our Silky Bantams go this was not the toy for them; we tried different heights from 100mm to 600mm all to no avail. We have perches that are graduated from ground level up to 800mm and they use these a lot of the time.

My hens were sceptical at first, then they got used to it. Really creates shade and protection from rain. Very happy with purchase

So far so good! Shipping was fast, assembly was easy, the pieces are solid and fit together well, easy cleaning. I've moved it around a lot because the ground under the run gets destroyed after a couple days and it's held up to being dragged. No escapes or predators, just a busy chipmunk! A small issue is the run wire coupling clips didn't seem secure so we added wire twists. On a personal preference, the entry door is low and small so I can't get inside to reach toys or visit with the Buns so I need a different set up, but the Egg and the run are both maintenance free and the Buns are happy. So are we!

These Omlet screw pegs are really strong and sturdy. Also very easy to use. Can screw into the ground without difficulty. Top large and easy to hold. Removal of pegs also very straightforward. Pegging the skirt of the run into the ground makes the run really safe and secure.

I have dreamt of owning an Omlet Eglu since I was a teenager. I have kept rabbits my whole life and having tried out every rabbit housing option available I was very excited about the idea of this plastic pod! Having finally purchased my Eglu some 15 years later, I can say I'm not disappointed and do believe it to be the best rabbit housing available on the market. Some reviews are negative in terms of the little glitches here and there with this product but keeping rabbits safe whilst also as free range as possible is not an easy thing to do. I would be very interested in seeing any other attempts of meeting the criteria better than this product does. The imperfections I have found include the falling hay rack, as many others have mentioned. This is a pain as it stops the rabbits from being able to drink from the water bottle. The other thing that makes this less than ideal is that you cannot reach your rabbits when in the run or clean areas out unless you crawl in. I believe this has already been addressed with a new door attachment that is now available. As I say you cannot have everything when it comes to giving your rabbits freedom but also keeping them contained. This seems a good result to the problem to me. The most important things I wanted from my rabbit house were somewhere warm and draft free in the winter, cool and ventilated in the summer, something easy to clean and most importantly space for free living but in a safe enclosure. The Eglu does all of that! It also looks attractive in your garden! It may not be totally perfect in every way but it is by far the best designed rabbit home to date.
