Raised Chicken Coop Perfect for a Flock of Up to 4 Hens

Hens will love being able to roost up high A raised hen house is comfy for you and comfy for your hens!

The Eglu Go UP is the perfect solution if you want a small flock of chickens in your garden. This portable chicken house is suitable for up to 4 small to medium sized chickens, such as Pekin bantams and Gingernut Rangers, or 2-3 larger breeds, like Orpingtons.

The Eglu Go UP has all the benefits of the Eglu Go, but at a convenient, raised height. Your hens will love roosting up off the ground and laying in the private nest area, while you will appreciate not having to bend down to collect eggs or clean the coop, making chicken keeping even more of a delight!

Super Quick and Easy to Clean in Just a Few Minutes

The smooth surfaces of the Eglu Go UP are easy to clean in just a few minutes. Watch the video to see how!

Cleaning your Eglu Go UP mobile chicken house is quick and easy, and it will only take you a few minutes a week to keep it in great condition. The removable plastic roosting bars are carefully designed to allow all the droppings to fall through onto the tray underneath. This can then be removed and emptied straight into the compost bin (chicken droppings make brilliant fertilizer for your plants).

All the smooth surfaces are made from a high density waterproof polymer which you can pressure wash to get your chickens’ coop spotlessly clean in less than 5 minutes.

The Eglu Go UP is designed for zero maintenance. Unlike wooden housing, you will never need to paint or re-roof your Eglu - saving you time and money.

Spacious, Heavy Duty Steel Run Keeps Hens Safe

Eglu Runs are STRONG...watch the video to see how they compare to regular chicken wire.

The chicken run for the Eglu Go UP is made from strong steel weld mesh that will resist the most persistent of predators, and the dark green coating will blend into your garden beautifully. A secure run gives you peace of mind that your chickens are safe while you’re not at home or spending time in the garden with them. Eglu runs have been rigorously tried and tested for over 15 years. Click play on the image to see the difference between an Eglu run and standard chicken wire.

The unique anti-tunnel skirt lays flat on the ground to prevent animals from digging in. This is a unique feature of Omlet’s chicken runs and is incredibly successful in deterring foxes and other predators. You can position the Eglu hen house and run on grass, wood chippings or soil, and if the area is uneven you can secure the anti-tunnel skirt to the ground with Omlet’s Screw Pegs.

Easy to Move Around Your Garden With Optional Wheels

Whether you move your coop daily or weekly, the wheels make repositioning this coop a breeze.

The Eglu Go UP is available with optional wheels, which make moving the chicken coop to a new spot in your garden super easy, even for one person. Simply press the foot pedal and the raised chicken house will gently rise so you can effortlessly wheel it to a fresh area of grass.

The wheels can be used with the Eglu Go UP with or without the run, they attach to the frame of the house. If you’ve got a longer run, or a particularly uneven lawn, the Eglu Run Handles will make moving the coop even easier.

One Hand to Open and Lock the Front Door

This hen house has an easy to use secure front door The hen house has an easy to use front door that is operated from the roof of the coop, and securely locks in place.

Letting your chickens out in the morning and securing the Eglu Go UP chicken house at night couldn’t be simpler. By lifting and turning the handle on top of the coop you open and close the door, locking and unlocking in one intuitive movement. No fiddly catches and bolts that don’t line up - it’s been designed to work even with gloves on which you’ll really appreciate in winter! Once the door is closed and locked in position, no chicken can escape and no predator can get in.

Comfortable Nest Box for Your Hens to Lay Delicious Eggs

Collecting eggs is easy with this chicken coop Inside the Eglu Go UP are comfortable, easy clean roosting bars and a nest box for hens to lay their eggs in.

One of the best things about being a chicken keeper is the fresh eggs your hens will provide you with every day; without a doubt the best eggs you will ever taste! Your hens will sleep snugly on the perfectly rounded roosting bars and they’ll love the integrated nesting box in the Eglu Go UP. You can fill the nest with bedding and look forward every morning to collecting eggs by opening the large door at the back.

Great in All Weathers, Keeps Hens Warm in Winter and Cool in Summer

The interior of an Eglu Go UP chicken coop. All Eglus feature twin wall insulation to ensure they stay warm in winter, and cool in summer.

Eglu coops are used by chicken keepers all over the world from Australia to Canada and everywhere in between. Why? Because they provide protection from all types of weather extremes.

The Eglu Go UP keeps your hens warm in winter. It has a unique twin-wall insulation system that works in a similar way to double glazing in your house, by trapping a pocket of air between two surfaces. This is an extremely effective way of insulating the coop, making sure the body heat from your chickens has nowhere to go!

In summer the same insulation will keep your chickens cool, and the draught-free ventilation system has been designed to keep fresh air circulating in the coop at all times, without air blowing directly over the roosting and nesting area.

Extendable Run and Easy to Connect to a Large Walk in Run

Extendable Run and Easy to Connect to a Large Walk in Run Easily extend your Eglu Go UP run, or attach to a larger Walk in Chicken Run for the ultimate hen playground.

You can extend the fox resistant run at any time with run extension packs in approximately 1m long sections, made of the same strong steel weld mesh as the Eglu run. You can use the extra space to add fun treat dispensing toys, like the Peck Toy or Caddi Treat Holder.

Another popular option for providing your hens with secure space to exercise is to connect your coop to a Walk In Chicken Run. These extremely popular runs offer the benefit of added height so you can go into the run and hang out with your hens. It’s a great solution if you are not able to let your chickens free range in the garden during the day. The dark green mesh will also blend in beautifully, so that the chickens’ home can be a natural part of the garden. You can even accessorise your run with a traditional wooden perch, or modern Chicken Swing!

Stable-Style Run Doors Open Independently for Easy Access

Opening the top door of the Eglu Go UP chicken run. The stable style run doors make it easy for you to reach inside to top up their feed, without chickens escaping!

The Eglu Go UP has a convenient, and practical stable-style door at the end of the run. The top and bottom open independently of each other, and both have run pins to secure them in an open or closed position. Open both doors when you want to allow your chickens out in the garden or to get full access to the run, or keep the bottom door closed if you want to do a quick feeder and drinker refill without your hens escaping.

Ergonomic Ladder Grips Help Smaller and Rescued Chickens

A chicken walking down the new and improved Eglu Go Up ladder with non-slip grips The large, non-slip ladder grips are designed for all hens, big and small.

The new and improved ladder design has larger, non-slip rungs that your chickens will find comfortable to grip in all seasons. The durable, all-weather grips simply clip on to the rungs of the Eglu Go UP ladder to provide a large non-slip surface. The grips are especially useful for older, less agile chickens, or for young hens who are perhaps using the ladder for the first time, but will be appreciated by chickens of all ages. The Eglu Ladder Grips have been a standard feature of the Eglu Go UP chicken coop since October 2019 and are fully compatible with all Eglu Go UP coops bought before this date.

Easy to Assemble

Your Eglu Go UP portable hen coop assembles precisely together and the how to build video guides you through the steps. Watch a preview above.

A clear large format step-by-step instruction manual is included to help you build your new chicken coop quickly with one or two people. There’s also a brilliant real time “How to Build” video which you can watch here to see each assembly step being performed.

All you need to assemble the Go UP house and frame is a screwdriver, and the run is put together using Omlet's patented run clips.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Omlet Automatic Chicken Coop Door can be fitted to the Eglu run, however, it cannot be attached to the Eglu Go UP house. We are always developing new products and have shared the interest for a Go UP Autodoor with our design team.
The size of run you need depends on how many chickens you have, what chickens you have (breed/size/personality), and how much they are allowed to roam free outside the run. Always aim to give your chickens as much space as you can, either by letting them free range in the garden or backyard or by getting a bigger Walk in run attached to the run of your coop. If you're not able to extend further, try moving the coop and run as often as possible or changing the soil or wood chips regularly. If you're having difficulty deciding what run size to get, feel free to contact our customer service team who will be happy to help!
The run can technically be extended however long you want with the 1m chicken run extensions. However, when extending over 3 meters, we would recommend taking extra precautions to ensure stability and security. This might include using screw pegs to secure the run, and adding perches to stabilise the mesh. Instead of extending further, you might want to consider connecting the coop to a Walk in Chicken Run.
While the Eglu Go UP doesn’t have traditional wooden perches, has specially designed roosting bars with a structured surface and rounded corners where the chickens will sleep comfortably at night.
Roosting bars allow the chickens to grip onto something while they sleep, which makes them feel safe and comfortable. As they climb up into the Go UP to roost, they also get the reinforced feeling of being off the ground. Although they don’t look like traditional wooden perches, roosting bars are great for larger breeds who find it tricky to jump up to a raised perch, or recently rescued hens who don’t have the strength to flap, and the shape of the bars makes sure most of the droppings fall straight onto the slide out, easy clean tray underneath.
If for any reason you're not happy with your purchase you can return it to us for a full refund within 30 days. You will need to dismantle and pack up the coop, so it's a good idea to keep the original boxes. For your peace of mind Omlet also gives you a 2 year warranty, so please contact us if anything goes wrong and we'll do our best to fix it straight away. Please note the warranty does not cover natural weather, animal and pest damage.

While the strong materials and thought out design makes it extremely hard for predators to get to your pets, no coop is 100% predator proof. Check the coop and run regularly to make sure all features are working as intended, including latches, doors and run clips.

If you live in an area with lots of predators, including small ones like martens and weasels, you might want to consider adding extra protection to your run.

Although it might take chickens a few days to get the hang of the ladder, the new and improved ladder grips make sure all chickens will soon have no trouble walking up and down it. If your chickens are having difficulties, or show no interest in using the ladder, place treats on the rungs to encourage them up into the coop.
The durable all weather grips simply clip on to the rungs of the Eglu Go UP ladder to provide a large non-slip surface. The grips are especially useful for older, less agile chickens or for young hens who are perhaps using the ladder for the first time. The Eglu Ladder Grips have been a standard feature of the Eglu Go UP chicken coop since October 2019 and are fully compatible with all Eglu Go UP coops bought before this date. New and improved ladder grips have been available since March 2021.
No, you can move your Eglu Go UP with wheels, without the handles. However, if you have a run that is longer than 3 metres, or if you intend to move it by yourself most of the time, the handles will make it noticeably easier.
Thanks to the twin wall insulation system, the Eglu Go UP will keep your chickens nice and warm in winter without any additional covers. The Extreme Weather Protection does, however, offer extra protection and will keep the coop warmer for longer, so if you live somewhere very cold it’s a great addition to your setup.
Yes, that won’t be a problem. If you want to keep your chicken coop on a slope or in a particularly bumpy area of your garden, we would recommend fastening the run with the Omlet Screw Pegs. These are super easy to just twist into the lawn, thus removing any gaps under the skirt where chickens could possibly escape or predators could get in.
The house will take a couple of hours to assemble, and the run an additional hour or so, depending on which size run you have chosen. Your Eglu Go UP comes with a comprehensive instruction manual that takes you through the assembly process, and you can also watch this step-by-step How to Build video.
We have not tested the Go UP with cats or rabbits so cannot recommend how safe it will be for these pets. Certain features, such as the ladder for rabbits, won't be suitable.
You don't need to add hay to the roosting bars or droppings tray as they are super easy to wash clean without. However, you should place bedding in the nest box.
The Eglu Go UP has twin wall insulaton which works in a similar way to a flask. The Go UP retains the heat produced by your chickens to keep them warm in winter. How warm it will be inside, depends on how many chickens you have in the coop, and whether or not you have left the door open.
The Wheel Arm Track Guard fits in the space where the wheel arm moves across to lock when you lift the coop to move it. The wheel arm goes through the comb-like guard, but it prevents any overly curious chickens to put their head through this space. The Wheel Arm Track Guard is included in all Eglu Cube and Eglu Go UP run boxes as standard from July 2021, and if you have an older coop you can buy it here.

Saving my back - Hannah, Gloucestershire,

I ordered the run set and decided to wait and see wether the run handles were really needed. While it is possible to move the run without handles it is so much easier with them and definitely easier on my back! They take seconds to install.

Easy to clean - Christopher, Essex,

I’m so pleased I purchased this coop , I spent a lot of time trying to decided on the Eglu or a traditional wooden coop. Definitely made the right decision the coop and two meter run is very well made, I did have some doubts about the ladder as I have three Pekin Bantam hens, which are the dearest little things ever ???? The ladder wasn’t a problem at all for them they were all cuddled in the Coop when the sun went down in the nesting box but now they are a bit bigger they roost on the bars . They are really well looked after (spoilt) but I know they love their new home. Highly recommend, would be nice to have a auto door and light for the coop maybe it’ll be available in the future!

I love my Eglu! - Victoria, Co. Carlow,

I bought this nearly 2 years ago, and yes I wanted to give a true review in all seasons and conditions. Firstly its a lovely thing to look at and so easy to clean, it's easy to move around and I had a little trouble with a wheel, customer services immediately sent me not one but a new pair, no quibble. The chickens are warm inside in winter and cool in the summer. I have kept 4 large hens inside and there was good room for them. I love the fox proof (and it really is) skirt around the bottom of the run, we have had numerous fox kills here even with electric fencing but no way with this run!
