Access holes moulded into the panels to allow access to the securing screws holding the pen in place would make detachement easier. IIThe nest box needs to be deeper as the hens instantly push out all the nesting material. The roosting bars need to be higher above the droppings tray. These details aside, we're very happy with the ease of cleaning and the security from foxes. Chooks seem to like it well enough. We bought the rain cover and a sun shade making the setup really convenient. They need some out time though as the standard run is not big enough to keep them happy.

I purchased this cover with the 12ft netting enclosure so it gives my chickens the perfect protection if it is raining or very hot to go under if they want to. (On its own with just the eglu you may find it too dark under there for continuous use). Very happy with the purchase and quick no hassle service too.

Had this as a 25th wedding anniversary present!! I do pet boarding and this summer was asked to board chickens for the first time. It was so easy and comfortable for them lots of headroom- they laid an egg in the house each day. I found it fairly easy to move but I am used to moving heavy duty hutches around. Cleaning was painless; quick and simple to hose the base whilst the animals were in the run.The rabbits and guinea pigs took to it well,very spacious accomodation. It was so handy, and unlike a wooden run did not need to be taken off the grass each evening to minimize damp damage except they had no drinking vessel inside the shelter. Well worth the money so far....

I purchased these in preperation for winter as they were reduced in price. I am very pleased as they will give some extra protection against the bad weather for the girls. They will also be handy next summer if we ever get any hot weather! It does make the area quite dark with all three of them fitted but they are easy to remove and put back on, as and when they are needed. A must for the winter for our pampered hens!

Chickens only just moved in but everything seems ok with it so far

I like this product but in my opinion the size is a bit scrimpy. I'm not at all sure why it is not the same length as the run - it falls short by about 30cm !

I bought the eglu go as I needed somewhere to put my growing chicks before they are big enough to go into the omlet cube I have with my big girls. I did look at some other makes of small plastic housing first, but I have always been really happy with the cube in particular liking the double layer plastic (never too hot or cold), the roosting bar set up - meaning they don't stand in their poo, having a really solid run attached, and ease of cleaning. Which all omlet houses have. I would have given 5 stars for the go but coming from the cube which has a sectioned off nesting box I really don't like the open plan nesting box in the go - my chicks move all the nesting material around blocking up the gaps between the roosting bars - and yes this may be because they are young and not using the box for laying yet but it is my main issue with the go. I wish I had put the door panel of the run in the position next to the house door so I could get to the house to clean the outside of the door - muddy feet make a mess but I can solve that at some point by taking the run off and moving it, as putting it together was easy - I did it by myself. I didn't like the feeder and drinker that came with the go so have purchased the ball shaped ones which look nicer and work better - but that's me being picky! I am pleased with my purchase (esp after seeing one of the other makes of plastic chicken houses recently in the flesh and seeing how flimsy it is!) - and am now hoping we can build a walk in run so I can have the cube and go together in there! I don't think anyone will feel they should have purchased a different chicken house if they ordered a go (except maybe the omlet cube - as they will prob find their chicken population growing as it is addictive :-))

excellent house, seems secure and well designed. the runs appears to be too small really and wouldn't be happy keeping three chickens it it permanantly.

I convinced my hubby to buy me this to house our 3 new ex battery ladies in, as the poultry ark I had purchased was too small. It took myself and my teenage daughter approx an hr to build and 30 mins for the run. We found the instructions easy to follow and it all went together easily. My girls love their new home and are so much more settled in it. I have found that there is ample room when all 3 girls go to bed and they are not at all cramped. We also own an eglu cube and like that the Go is easy to keep clean. I am so glad we purchased the Go and would buy again if needed! You wont be disappointed if you buy the go, classic or cube!

Allows both light and shelter for your birds.Made from heavy duty, quality plastic with 6 elasticated hooks to anchor it. Much better than a small cover or just relying on the underside of the house in wet weather as it keeps the whole run usable by my 11 bantams. Because you can arrange it on the run to cover part of both sides or all of one side it keeps rain off the feeders much more effectively than a 'top only' cover.
