I have found the cube easy to clean. As I have postioned it permanently on a concrete base, it is not so easy to rake over the wood chippings and am considering changing to gravel, which was suggested by the chap who delivered the chickens as this can be hosed down. This seems a good solution as, whilst we are at home, the chickens roam free so will have the best of both worlds.

Brilliant product, exceptionally easy to clean with the added benefit of no red mites. This product is far superior than all the traditional arks/houses I have researched and I am so glad I chose this to house my precious hens. They manage the ladder and roost perfectly on the plastic perches although I know friends who have bantams have a little problem negotiating the ladder. My only reservation is the Super Glugs, bought an extra one only to find my hens do not get enough water and will have to source an alternative product. At the moment having to resort to an ice-cream container to stop them dying of thirst! Delivery driver was a bit of a scrooge not wanting to hand over the "included" items but luckily we knew to what we were entitled and managed to get him to give these to us after prompting. Buy an Eglu Cube, you will never regret it!!!

Finally got round to giving my opinion on the cube and extended run which I have now had for four weeks. I would fully recommend to anyone thinking of purchasing having myself looked at all the other options before taking the plunge. Delivery on time. Easy to assemble and to date no leaks. Living in Cumbria where it rains all the time if there was going to be any it would have happened by now. It has been well worth the initial outlay as it is very easy to clean and maintain. The chickens have now become part of the family and my two terriers seem to have accepted the new editions.

So much better then the wooden perches now cleaning is even easier!!! Long lasting and great for large breeds as there poop cleans off more easily and doesn't stain, more hygenic also.

Extremely happy with this product. I was worried that my hens wouldn't know how to use it, but they soon learned. Apart from the odd fly, the water stays clean and it doesn't need topping up every day. Yippee.

I ordered my Eglu cube and was given an earliest delivery date of nearly 3 weeks time - given that I had chosen the normal green I found this a tad disappointing. I was especially irritated when, having arranged my day off work to receive the cube, Omlets couriers actually delivered it the day before. I enjoyed constructing my cube but did have to play about with it to get the gaps even around the body. To date have had no issues with leaks, however my girls really don't like the ladder and the claim that the cube is easily maneuvered is not correct unless there is a second person involved. On the whole though I think the product is very funky, if a trifle expensive, and would recommend it to others who want to have an aesthetic chicken coup in their garden.

We bought the cube at the Ideal Home show. I was attracted to it by the simplicity, good looks, and the ease of keeping clean. We were contacted as promised by phone, and the order arrived by post, at the allotted time. All the pieces were there, and it was very simple to put together, with easy to follow. The cube is now assembled in our garden, and looks great. Now all we need is the chickens to put in it! We are really pleased and would thoroughly recommend the omlet cube.

Based on only a week's experience so far, I think the cube is excellent. My 3 hens took to it immediately and seem very content mooching around in there. However, I do think that the ladder is really badly designed, and needs more rungs, closer together, and maybe even to reach nearer to the floor.

I've rated this item as 3 stars as I'm not sure whether the chickens are drinking out of it yet. It's certainly a brilliant idea - watch this space!

Overall a very easy to clean and maintain hen house, the fact that the hens have to roost on the slat floor means our 4 hens all end up piling into the nesting area though - very messy or requires eviction later on. If there was a way of having a raised perch this would possibly enhance roosting options I think. The couriers that are used for delivery are rubbish. Nothing ever arrives when it is scehduled (I have made two orders, cube and run extension). Dump them now!
