When I ordered the auto close door I don’t know if I didn’t order the correct attachment piece or what. However, when I opened the box and got out the detailed description of all the pieces I realized I needed something different from what I received. Omlet Support was awesome and very quickly sent me the one I was expecting. OMG! If you don’t have the auto door you have no idea what you’re missing. Even though I’m normally watching the process, (hens are very smart), from my window it’s awesome to watch the light and door work. The light comes on inside and the hens go into the coup. In about 5 minutes the light goes off and the door closes. The best part is it opens again in the early morning before I get up. The hens are happily scratching for bugs and ready for the day by the time I’m up. I had wild ducks for a while and had to get up before sunrise everyday to let them out of their coup. The auto door is great for my girls and for me too.

I love that the door opens and closes automatically. My girls head up while it's still dusk and the door closes after it gets truely dark. I was worried that a chicken could be caught in it but that doesn't happen because it closes slowly and safely. It's just great!

Purchased this door for winter protection. Although my one chicken sits in the door keeping in from closing. I go out and push her in and then manually close the door. No fault of the doors at all. If i had a one wish is for this door to be controlled via Z-Wave technology. Maybe in a later generation.

I figured if this worked half as well as it proposed, that I would be happy. This has been perfect. Installed so easily.. Works exactly as stated. Has made my life so much easier.

First delivery lost. Second one sent part way and then returned. Lots of chasing up. Delivery finally received several weeks after expected. BUT doe itself and light great. Works well without having to think too much and light is worth extra $20.

I wasn't sure that we needed this add on for our coop-,however now that we have it I am so happy we decided to go ahead. It just makes it all very easy. The chickens take themselves to bed when the light goes on and the door closes soon after.
