Am about to have 2nd hip replacement and find it difficult to bend down to clean out our existing hen shed. This is therefore ideal as once up and running it is easy to access for cleaning and collecting eggs. Have also had problem this year with red mite, now pretty well under control but so much easier to deal with the girls now that they are in this new house than the old wooden shed that had so many nooks and crannies. The ladder is too high up from the ground so we have rested their old one against it to make it easier for access. Another downside is that we have used an automatic timer for closing the pop hole for years and with this system that is impossible and therefore a little constrictive if we were to go away overnight. Is there anyway that this could be developed in the future? As yet we have not set up the cage but already have discovered that unless the cube is put on really level ground (difficult in our wood) then there are quite large gaps along the joins between the roof & the sides which I suspect could compromise the weather/water proofing of the house.

Very easy to keep clean. Bantams love it. They realised from day 1 that they had to climb the ladder to go to bed. We had to add an extension to the ladder for the little lavender pekins as they couldn't make it up on their own. Bit worried about the size of the water container in case one of them gets in & can't get out, as they seem to climb into the food container quite happily, so am waiting till they're a bit bigger before using it. In the meantime have placed it outside the run & the peacocks and guinea fowl use it instead whilst visiting the little bantams. Would recommend the cube to any prospective purchasers.

It's expensive, but if you want something simple to clean/maintain, easy to re-site weekly on your lawn and fox proof this is it.

My chickens couldn't be happier, they have a fabulous green eglu cube house with a 3m run. I have then used a 25m run of electric fencing to make there area around that even bigger for them when I'm at home. Being new to chickens I was told it may take them 4-6wks to settle but not these girls - they were laying within 2wks & there so happy i can almost see the smiles on there little faces. The eglu cube house is very good & sturdy & so easy to keep clean.

We've had our cube for about four years now. I saw an eglu classic with two chickens from omlet at a house viewing and fell in love. By the way we now leave in the same house, thanks to the chics. Decided to get the eglu cube as we could keep more beautiful chickens. We ordered the purple colour but was told that it was out, so we settled for the green colour which blends very well with our garden. The delivery was smooth and the gentleman assembled it, clipped the 4 girls wings and a small care talk. GREAT MAN! The wheels eventually dropped off and we are no longer able to move it around the garden. The original weather cover didn't last long. We now have to buy a new weather cover and hopefully that would last. I think that it would have been better to buy two eglu classics, this would also make it easier for introducing new hens. I believe there should be an aftercare or follow- up care for customers that needs it. Despite all the odds, chickens are worth it, for they give great pleasure.

My chickens have never been happier in their new home. This product was easy to set up and even easier to maintain, being so easy to clean and use.

What a delight to be the owner of an Eglu Cube Chicken House and now have three of the happiest Lohmann brown hens in the land, living it up at the Ritz Hotel style. Was able to put together single handed in a reasonable time and was received well packed with no missing parts. One suggestion for improvement I feel would be to add a form of plastic grips on the ladder as most decents by the hens is by slide fashion and sure others will agree. Would highly recommend it for keeping chickens in the back garden and furthermore is supported by an excellent customer care service and informable website.

I recently purchased a green Eglu Cube and am very delighted that I did. I already own an Eglu Classic so am familiar with the excellent quality of the Omlet products. I am not new to chicken keeping and have always housed my Girls in traditional wooden coops and latterly in coops made from man made materials. The cleaning of these coops, both wooden and plastic,was a real chore. Then I saw the light and became the proud owner of a Cube. What a dream! I love it and the Girls love it. It is all that I have ever wanted from a hen - house and more. A Rolls Royce product.
