I have used quite a few different waterers made from various materials, shapes and sizes. The Omlet waterer is truly a game changer. For a start, this is the first winter I haven’t had to deal with frozen water. It’s design is aesthetically pleasing , it holds plenty of water and you have the 2 different types of access to it for your poultry depending on their preference. My elderly girls took to it straight away. Another plus is it can remain on the floor or can be suspended . It’s quite heavy when filled so if suspending it make sure you attatch it safely. It’s made from some tough type plastic which means you can add ACV to it without concern as opposed to a metal one. It’s also easy to clean .. I literally give mine a good swill out now and then and wipe a damp cloth over the exterior. This is an excellent, sturdy waterer which I think will last many years. I honestly can’t think of anything negative to say about it! 🐔

We purchased two of these and they have been a game changer this winter so far! No power cords no breaking ice, my chickens are happy and I’m happy. Excited to see how long ice water will last in the summer too!

My chickens are slowly adapting to a nipple waterer and I am using some of the cups along with the nipples. But, this thing kept the water from freezing down to 20 degrees. The cups did freeze over, but not so thick that the chickens could not break through. This solves a serious issue for me because I do not have power in my run. Excellent product. Will likely buy a second one.

Does what it says and does it well! A little on the pricey side but worth it

I have 4 chooks and it's hot here in Adelaide at the moment. I was refilling water containers on a daily basis and waster was getting too hot. Since getting the insulated waterer I just fill it with some ice, top it up with about 10 litres of filtered water and the water stays cool for a week saving me a load of hassle. I am thrilled I bought the insulated waterer.

This waterer really works well as promised. I have 4 chooks and it's pretty hot here in Adelaide at the moment. I put ice in and 10 litres of water and the water lasts and stays cool for about 7 days. I am delighted I bought this.

Bought two, one as a gift. It’s taking time for the chickens to get used to it but hopefully it will help with the extreme cold already and keeping their water from freezing.

Love the insulation on the waterer its very effective. I'm excited to see how this works in the summer heat as well. I just wish there was an easier way to clean the cups. Eventually I will train my girls to use the nipples

Ideal product for those with Bantams and those with Hens who like to hang their "accessories". This is ideal at keeping your water drinkable in the winter. It hasn't iced over at all and it’s brilliant if you have a mix of bantams/hens that some like to use the nipple system and some that don't as you can have a mixture of the 2 or use all the same - the choice is yours which I find rare in "chicken products". The only downside i find is that my bantam breeds like to use the cups- they watch me when I show them how to use the nipple but so far they haven't tried that for themselves. My Buff Orpington desperately wants to use the nipple drinkers but she is too tall as I have mine freestanding as even though it IS safe with an Omlet Walk In Run to hang, I prefer not to. A great product at a very reasonable price. My girls took to it straightaway. Its great at keeping your water clean and I highly recommend. Looks and feels like it will last a lifetime.
