I got three young Leghorn pullets and started off with the Eglu Go Up with 2m run, which looked perfect and hens were happy. I then thought about whether they would be comfortable if they had to stay in the run a whole season should the bird flu struck. So decided to purchase the extra 1m run. Best decision ever, the pulleys grew bit more in size and were very agile. The extra space allowed them to forage more, run a bit, give each other space when needed. It was easy enough to add to the existing run and I managed to do this alone while hens went to their coop. If space allows, as someone else said in their comment, I think the extension is a necessity!

These are great, and clearly designed to function to a high standard to help prevent predators getting into the run. I've also found extra reassurance that my run can't move, even in high winds with a large rain cover on the top which obviously catches the wind. The drill attachment is so helpful and another great idea.

Easy to fit together. I haven’t tried to move it yet with the extra length as I expect it will be difficult. It will probably take 2 people.

Brought this as a “chicken hospital/jail” for when we needed to separate out a sick or misbehaving chicken. It’s attached to the run so they can see their friends but still be safely apart. Perfect for what we needed. Just needs an auto door to take it to 5 stars

I have used our Go Up for several small groups of chickens from 2 to 4 and it serves very well, its not the easiest construction but one built it is light enough and small enough to be moved around the garden as required. As we have other Eglu Coops, ours now serves as a temporary hospital or isolation space but for small flocks this would be perfect. Only slight drawback is the inability to fit the autodoor

Really handy pegs, I didn't use the drill attachment to drive the pegs into the ground and they still went in with ease.

We have a problem with hawks and owls. So I installed a scarecrow which has helped prevent attacks, not just with the chickens, but with all the birds who feed at our feeders. Also,try attaching sparkly whirlygigs to the run fencing.
