Good Quality but complicated to put together
Viv,
Have the 12m fence. This is my second attempt to construct it. There are too many components/ ties/pegs/ posts etc. Other makes have it already assembled you just roll it out the posts etc are already attached just put a few pegs in the bottom.

Great idea…not so sturdy.
Adrianna, California,
In theory, this fence is a great idea to get you flock out for a run, but the reality was not quite what I hoped for. The plastic fencing, once unfolded is warped throughout, causing it to sag and gap all around. Was pretty disappointing given the cost.

Changed mesh
Michael,
I have previously bought this fencing and the mesh was woven netting like fishing net. You have replaced this with a poly extruded product which is not what I expected or desired.

Material not strong enough -rabbits eat through it
Sarah, Minnesota,
I purchased the chicken fencing. Within 24 hours of installing it, it was eaten through by rabbits in 6 different places with big enough holes that the chickens walk right through. The material is so flimsy it is useless to keep animals from eating through it! Highly disappointed in the quality of the mesh.

Save your box for returns!!
Rachel,
We live on some land and wanted to let our chickens outside. In comes Omlet. The first problem is that this fence works by pushing stakes into the ground. If you have rocky soil there is no way to get these in the ground. After hammers and lots of moving we made that work. 2. It is not critter proof. We have multiple holes in it from squirrels, bunnies, etc. When I called Customer Service about this they told me that I should move my fence (after I worked so hard to get it into my soil!) and normally they could send a repair kit but they were out of those for at least 2 months. 3. The holes in this fence allow all sorts of predators through. Predators = dead chickens. The holes are 1.5 - 2". 4. After all this we figured the fence wasn't for us and we wanted to return it. I called Customer Service again and this time they said I couldn't return it because I didn't have the orginal box. But no where on the box (at least obviously stated) did it say to "Keep box in case you want to return" nor could I find this on the website. Only information I found was that there was a 30 day guarantee. The product would have gotten 2 more stars (I get it didn't work for me but might for a nice soft lawn in the middle of a field) but the lack of information for the return knocked it down. Hope this saves someone else from the frustration!

Disappointing
Rosie, Staffs,
This was bought to replace our original Omlet fencing which was broken and tangled after 16 years. The video of the new style looked brilliant so we ordered it via telephone. Customer Services was excellent and delivery was very fast and efficient. The package was really small and the fencing folded in half which still has not straightened out despite guy ropes and waiting. The quality of the fencing was very poor and disappointing. It is what I would use to support my plants. I think it makes it poor value for money. It also makes it hard to.keep straight between the poles and sags in places despite the many hours spent in assembling it. The poles were another issue. They did not fit together easily and got stuck adding to our frustration . We were grateful to get some replacements free of charge. The fencing took us days to assemble and we would suggest that the quality is improved and arrives unfolded and poles come ready assembled. However our mature hens are safe and have not escaped. We like the height too.

Super flimsy, sags in the centre of each side
Alisa,
I bought this a couple of months ago. The netting comes folded in half in a big roll. The instructions say that the bend will straighten out eventually but it hasn't so far and it sags in the middle of each side. The ropes help somewhat but not as much as I had hoped. I am already looking for an alternative, a regretful purchase unfortunately.

not what i hoiped for
Kerry,
i wanted to create an area for my new hens separate from dog. this fence doesnt work well on sloping ground. spikes are not deep enough especially when ground is moist. becasue it is plastic the dog just dug a bit and then pushed under it. also attempted to chew through, extra star pickes stakes etc later still useless as a dog deterent and the hens decided to just fly over it. so now i have 22 metres of quite expensive plastic fencing and accessories and nothing to do with them.

Doesn't Do The Job (old version of the fencing)
Amelia,
I'm afraid I can only give this product 2 stars. I spent quite some time researching products so that my chickens could free range around the garden and picked this one because of the great reviews it had. I found the product quite tricky to put up and as I have undulating ground have had to supplement with additional tent pegs to stop there being a gap at the bottom of the fencing but once up it's proved to be quite sturdy and blends in well with the garden. I've only given 2 stars - 1 for the fencing itself - unfortunately my chickens can get out - I have two Isa Browns, one of which quite happily flies over the fencing and in again as she wishes, I also have Silkies which are quite small and I have seen them jump up to the larger holes and push themselves through the netting. This happened when I first put it up - they didn't understand it was there to keep them in as previously I let them out to roam where they liked or if they get spooked they try to get out in a panic (they seem to have settled now and are happy now to stay in the compound). So unfortunately, for my chickens the fencing isn't fit for purpose. I've also given another star for Omlet customer service which is excellent.
